englandbeckham7 asked: Hey Tommy! I've been a fan since your humanistic album. I just wanted to say your music is amazing. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to continuing to purchase all of your music. I can't get enough of it. Thank you again for returning to give your fans more of what we want. The seven year gap was a lonely one with Armed to the Teeth and Humanistic on constant repeat :)
Thanks, more music is on the way.
scopedallas asked: How are things? Haven't heard any new news in a while. Hope all is well and looking forward to seeing you live in Dallas! Been waiting since 'The Remedy'. Cheers!
Things are good. Just released an album back in August and hope to have another out this summer. Maybe we’ll get to Dallas again.
So glad I downloaded Sublime Currency. It’s funny, the first time I say you was on MTV2 (The video for Remedy). I thought it was Billy Corgan’s new side project (Zwan). So glad I kept listening because Abandoned Pools is the tits in comparison. Cheers and keep it up and I will keep spreading the love from ATL> Alec
Anonymous asked: Do you ever think you will do a UK tour?
Doubtful, but you never know. Last time AP was there was in 2003. We only did two shows in London and some TV interviews.
Anonymous asked: Ive heard people say, "oh man, i wish they were more popular!". Thanks for staying true to yourself and your own sound. Consistency can still be innovative if you do it in your own way by not following trends and you never have.."hype IS the enemy". Love the rich sounds and as usual compelling lyrics in the new album. Cant wait for more! Cheers. -Alain
Thanks, I hear that a lot too but so it goes. And thanks for the support. There’s more music on the way.
Anonymous asked: Will we see any guest collaborations on the next album? You had Josh Freese on drums for Humanistic, and Billy Howerdel and Ken Andrews on Armed to the Teeth. Do you see yourself working with any of those guys again or musicians from other acts?
No plans for guest artists right now but you never know.
Anonymous asked: hey tommy - long time fan. my band opened for you way back in like 00/01 at lehigh university in bethlehem pa. long way to ask ... will you be doing any touring for sublime currency?
I think remember that show. That was a long time ago.
I may do some acoustic shows but there are no full band performances scheduled at the moment.
Anonymous asked: What does the title of the song '9 Billion' represent/reference? Cheers!
The title is a reference to an Arthur C. Clarke short story called “The 9 Billion Names of God.” The lyric was used in an earlier version of the song. I cut the lyric but kept the title.
acyanrust asked: Hey! Not a question... I just really wanted to say hello and thank you! I got into your music a long time ago thanks to Clone High, and have been a fan ever since. I even got my younger sister to listen to your stuff. Actually she was playing "Monster" today as I came out of the shower, which prompted me to dig my old music files. Then I found out there's a new album! Wow!! I am so stoked! Just heard "Sublime Currency" today for the first time. Blew me away, love the Queen feel. Keep it up <3
Thanks for spreading the word. More music on its way soon.
Anonymous asked: Hellow from Russia. Your music is very cool and beautiful,i love it. Don't stop
Hello from America. Thanks for writing. I have no plans to stop.
Anonymous asked: Tommy, huge fan from Philadelphia and I'm loving the new album, which has been totally worth the wait. I grabbed the Itunes release that came with the bonus acoustic version of 'Sublime Currency' and it is incredible! Are there any plans to release an acoustic EP of some AP tracks in the future?
I’ve thought about that before but it just hasn’t happened yet. Maybe something for the future.
